HSBC ePayment UK

HSBC is a major high street bank in the UK and has been established since its takeover of the Midland Bank in 1980s. The internet payment gatway provided by HSBC is called Secure ePayments and offers many benefits to UK based businesses that trade on the Internet.

There are two main online payment solutions available for businesses operating via a shopping cart.

The first is a fully integrated API end to end credit and debit card processing solution, which allows you to accept card payments directly on your website. This versatile system allows you to integrate the functionality of HSBC’s payment gateway directly into your own system, providing a seamless shopping experience for your customers. This also gives you access to the Virtual Terminal interface, which allows you to review complete order processing, transactions and historic data.

The second is a partial integrated CPI solution which allows you to process orders for both goods and services direct from your website. This works by transferring your customer to HSBC’s Secure ePayments server in order to complete their card payment once they have finished adding items to their shopping basket. This gives your customers’ peace of mind by showing you are linked to HSBC, thereby enhancing your business reputation for reliability and security.

Fees for Secure ePayments vary with each individual application, but the standard charges are as follows:

• Set-up charge of £200
• Monthly management fee of £20
• Transaction charges negotiated on an individual basis
