WorldPay is a member of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group and provides a secure payment service for its members who wish to make online purchases. There are several facilities for their customers to accept payments via Internet, phone, fax and mail. WorldPay accept all major credit cards as well as debit cards and some local payment schemes including Maestro, Electron and Laser.

WorldPay integrates into your shopping cart software seamlessly. When a customer reaches the checkout, they select the WorldPay option and are taken to their secure server. There the customer is presented with several payment options and can enter their payment details. These details are recorded and a transaction created, which authenticates the customer’s payment. If successful, both the shopper and the merchant are sent a confirmation email and the sale is completed.

Being a UK based merchant, WorldPay sets its service and additional charges in GBP, however you may accept payments in any currency you define. Their charges for the service are as follows:

* Set up fee is a standard £200
* Monthly fee is £300
* For UK debit cards £0.50 per transaction
* All other transactions (e.g. credit and charge cards) 4.50% on the value of the transaction
* Fraud detection £0.06 per transaction

There are additional and optional charges as follows:

* Each Internet merchant account has one free currency provided as standard. A £50.00 charge is added per each additional currency
* For each chargeback, WorldPay charge £10.00
* Each settlement in GBP for a GB bank account is £0.35. Settlements not in GBP to a GB bank account are charged at the currency equivalent of £10 per settlement
* Internet Terminal (WorldAccess) is optional with a setup fee of £100.00. Standard transaction service charges apply
* Repeat Billing (WorldAccess) has a setup fee of £100.00
* Fraud Protection (Merchant Guarantee) is £20.00 per month and 1-2% per transaction
